By participating in this campaign, claimants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or promotional materials. Please retain a copy for your information. Please note nothing in these Terms restricts the participant’s statutory rights as a consumer and if required advice can be obtained from a Trading Standards Office or Citizens Advice Bureau for further information relating to these statutory rights.

  1. This campaign is hosted by Mastercard.
  2. This campaign is open to Mastercard cardholders holding a valid Mastercard Contactless card and/or have a valid Mastercard card uploaded to a valid device for making Contactless payments to travel on Transport for London (TfL) Bus, Tube, Tram, DLR, London Overground, Elizabeth Line, Emirates Air Line, Thames Clippers River Buses and National Rail services where Pay as You Go is accepted, during the Promotional Period. Journeys made using an Oyster Card are excluded.
  3. This campaign starts on 25 November 2024 at 00:01 AM BST and runs until 31 December 2024 at 11.59 PM BST (“Promotional Period”).

Mastercard has agreed to donate $400,000 (aggregate) directly to Conservation International, a U.S. charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, to help restore an additional 200,000 trees. Tapping your Mastercard Card helps enable to make donation like this to Conservation International. Regardless of the number of journeys with Mastercard Contactless card or device to travel, the Mastercard contribution under this campaign shall never exceed $400,000 in aggregate.

  2. Mastercard Contactless card and device holders must have an active banking account with the requisite funds to cover their TfL travel costs for each valid journey during the Promotional Period.
  3. To participate in the campaign, you must touch your Mastercard Contactless card or device on a yellow card reader at the start and end of each journey at participating locations and at intermediate points where required. On London Buses and or on the Tramlink you must only touch in at the start of your journey. You could face a Penalty fare of £80 or be prosecuted if you fail to touch in where required.
  4. Campaign is subject to the TfL Contactless Payment Cards Conditions of Use located at https://contactless.tfl.gov.uk/.
  5. To the fullest extent possible in law, neither Mastercard nor agencies involved in this campaign will be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever caused by matters relating to this campaign.
  6. By participating in this campaign Mastercard Contactless card and device holders will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these terms and conditions.
  7. Any question concerning the legal interpretation of the rules will be based on English law and the Courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction.
  8. In exceptional circumstances, Mastercard reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions or withdraw the campaign at any stage.
  9. Unlimited qualifying transactions per cardholder.
  10. No personal data is shared with or by Mastercard for the purpose of this campaign.
  11. TfL is not responsible for technical errors by third parties, nor errors on electronic devices that may prevent participation.
